2005 Spyker half year results

Zeewolde - Spyker Cars, manufacturer of high-quality sports cars today announced its results over the first half year of 2005. Compared to the first half year of 2004, net revenues rose from Euro 2.8 million to Euro 4.0 million (plus 43 per cent). Spyker C8 short wheel base models were officially US certified in this period. The order backlog, partly as a result hereof, rose to 151 cars per mid 2005. The market showed considerable interest in the Spyker Super Sports Utility Vehicle (SSUV) model, to be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2006.

The proceeds of the share issue and subordinated loan have strengthened the company's guarantee capital. Wilhelm Karmann GmbH has started production preparations and the first bodies/chassis will be delivered in the first week of October, which in terms of profitability will mark a turning point for the company. The forecasted production for 2005 is maintained at 50-60 cars.
