SPYKER C8 D12S CHOSEN FOR MICROSOFT’S XBOX 360 GAME
Zeewolde, the Netherlands, 2 December 2005 -- The Spyker C8 Double12 S is featured in the racing game ‘Project Gotham Racing 3™’ (PGR3) from Microsoft Game Studios and Bizarre Creations. As of today, Xbox 360 gamers can get behind the wheel of this piece of true Dutch automobile craftsmanship. The Spyker joins a collection of exclusive dream cars - including the Aston Martin DPR9, the Maserati MC12 and the McLaren F1 Le Mans - featured in this spectacular racing game for Xbox 360, the next-generation video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. To ensure realism, developers of the game worked closely with the car manufacturers.
The realistic racing game ‘Project Gotham Racing 3’ is one of the exclusive launch titles for Xbox 360. For this game, the developer selected the most desirable dream cars in the world.
‘Project Gotham Racing 3’ is the ultimate racing game in which gamers drive a range of very exclusive cars through four major cities in the world and on the famous German Nürburgring race track. PGR3 is not just about speed, but mainly about ‘Style’. By driving both daring and fast, gamers in PGR3 can earn ‘Kudos’. This is a fictional currency which can be used by gamers in PGR3 to extend their collection of available cars in the game and also determines the players’ ranking on Xbox Live™. The ultimate challenge and most fun is to race against other gamers, which is possible with Xbox Live, the online gaming service for Xbox 360. Here, gamers can take on drivers from all over the world. Via ‘Gotham Live TV’ it is also possible to watch a race live, on Xbox 360 with Xbox Live.

The launch of the Xbox 360 takes place throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa on December 2nd 2005. The suggested retail price of the game is €69,99. The EMEA introduction follows the November 22nd launch in North America. The rest of the world will follow on December 10, 2005.
About the Spyker C8 Double12 S
The powerful Spyker C8 Double12 S has an all aluminum Audi V8 engine, a power output of 400 hp and a torque of 480 Nm. The top speed depends on the desired engine power and ranges between 300 and 345 km/h (187 mph and 215 mph) and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds). The Spyker C8 Double12 S comes with a manual six-speed gearbox, rear wheel drive with limited slip differential and ABS. The car is a coupe with a glass canopy reminiscent of a modern fighter jet. It features unique riveted wheel arch extensions onto the handmade aluminum body.
The Spyker C8 Double12 S is the road version of the Double12 R, the race car that Spyker raced twice, in 2002 and 2003, during the famous 24-hours of Le Mans race.
